Our Review Process
A transparent look at the 7-point methodology we use to research, evaluate, and score every men’s health supplement we review.
🔍 We review products based on clinical evidence, manufacturing quality, and real customer outcomes — not on commission rates or brand relationships.
7-Point Review Framework
Ingredient Analysis Against Published Literature
For every ingredient in a formula, we search PubMed and other primary research databases for peer-reviewed clinical evidence. We evaluate whether the ingredient has been studied in humans, whether the doses in the formula match doses used in research, and whether the research was conducted independently or funded by manufacturers with a commercial interest.
Formula Completeness and Synergy
We assess whether the formula addresses all key mechanisms relevant to its claimed purpose, and whether the combination of ingredients is synergistic, redundant, or counterproductive. A formula with five well-researched ingredients at effective doses rates higher than a formula with fifteen ingredients at sub-therapeutic doses.
Dosage Adequacy
The presence of an ingredient is not enough. We verify that each ingredient is present at a dose consistent with what was used in the clinical research we reference. Underdosed formulas receive a significant penalty in our ratings regardless of how impressive their ingredient list appears on the label.
Manufacturing Quality and Standards
We verify the manufacturing standards of each product — including FDA registration of the facility, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) certification, third-party testing for purity and potency, and country of manufacture. Products manufactured in FDA-registered, GMP-certified US facilities receive higher scores.
Safety Profile and Contraindications
We review the safety profile of every ingredient — including known drug interactions, contraindications for specific health conditions, and potential side effects. We include this information prominently in our reviews. We do not omit safety concerns because they reflect negatively on an affiliate product.
Customer Evidence Analysis
We analyse verified customer reviews across multiple platforms to identify patterns in outcomes, side effects, and satisfaction. We look for authentic patterns — a realistic distribution of positive, neutral, and negative feedback — rather than uniformly positive ratings that may indicate manipulation. We weight verified purchase reviews above anonymous reviews.
Value and Guarantee Assessment
We assess the price-per-dose relative to competing products with comparable formulas, and we evaluate the strength and terms of any money-back guarantee. A genuine, enforceable guarantee administered through a reputable platform adds meaningful value for readers who are uncertain about a product’s efficacy for them personally.
Our Rating System
Each product we review receives a score out of 5.0, calculated as a weighted average across the seven criteria above. Our ratings are calibrated to be realistic — not promotional. We have never awarded a perfect score, and we do not inflate ratings to protect affiliate relationships.
| Score | What It Means |
|---|---|
| 4.0 – 4.5 | Strong product with well-researched ingredients at adequate doses and verified manufacturing quality. A genuine recommendation. |
| 3.5 – 3.9 | Solid product with some limitations — ingredient gaps, dosage concerns, or mixed customer evidence. Worth considering with caveats. |
| 3.0 – 3.4 | Average product. May work for some users but lacks the evidence base or quality controls we would recommend without reservation. |
| Below 3.0 | Not recommended. Significant ingredient, dosage, manufacturing, or transparency concerns that outweigh the potential benefits. |
How Affiliate Relationships Affect Our Reviews
They do not. Our editorial team is compensated for producing accurate, independent analysis — not for producing favourable reviews. We have given low scores to products that generate significant affiliate commissions, and we have given high scores to products with modest commission structures.
If we cannot honestly recommend a product, we say so. Our readers’ trust is more valuable to us than any individual commission.
